He has been awarded the recognition of being the 40-under-40 data scientists in
India (Analytics India Magazine) and has worked in the field of analytics across Industries. At Sorin Capital Management, Hedge Fund is New York, Deep was
Vice President of Quantitative Modelling. As part of his most recent corporate role, he was Head of Real Estate Analytics and Strategy at Thomson Reuters. He has also worked with REIS and DOW Jones Indexes. A CFA charter holder and Commonwealth Scholar, Deep has a MS in Applied Economics from University of Texas, Dallas and a MA in Economics from Jadavpur University, Calcutta.
Devraj Sanyal - CTO
Dev is a Data Engineering Technologist with 18+ years of industry experience. Dev specialises in translating business requirements into technology solutions that can scale and be flexible to changes. He has designed and developed multiple data ingest & storage systems from grounds up and his experience includes batch processing using big data technologies, building data lakes and handling streaming data using IBM streams/spark streaming to low latency real time systems using C++. Comfortable coding in multiple languages like Scala, Java, Python or C++ Dev was Vice President (Technology) at Goldman Sachs, before that spent a decade with Thomson Reuters (in Bangalore and New York) and among recent consulting roles worked with Nielsen. All of these have the common factor of dealing with terabytes of data regularly.
Prof. Anirban Chakraborty - Advisor
Prof. Anirban holds the distinction of being the first Ph.D in Econophysics from India and specialised in complex algorithms in data and decision sciences. His core expertise lie in the areas of Econophysics, Sociophysics, Data Science, Complex Systems, Statistical Physics, Quantum Physics and Nanomaterial Science.
He has more than two decades of experience as a scientist, working in many reputed universities and research institutions in India, Europe, Japan, and USA. He was awarded the prestigious Young Scientist Medal of the Indian National Science Academy in 2009. He has more than 70 peer reviewed papers and book chapters on using high end-algorithms in economic, financial and social data.
Prof. Avik Sarkar - Advisor
Avik was the former Chief Data Scientist at Niti Aayog and is one of India’s best known and leading data scientists with nearly 20 years of experience working with global corporations. Currently, he is a Professor of Technology and Data at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. With core strengths of analytics, statistics, machine learning & data mining., he brings value to identify, architect & implement the appropriate statistics/artificial intelligence/ machine learning/analytics/data mining solutions for the specific business need. He is involved as an Advisor at various government committees like the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) committee for setting standard for "Artificial Intelligence", Analytics Advisory committee for Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of Census 2021 and Advisor towards setting up Data Analytics Center of Excellence by Government of Assam.
